Make your way inside Hotel Hugo located in Hudson Square, Manhattan. Find the nearest elevator and press the button that takes you all the way to the top… Ding! Just like that, after a quick ride up to the highest story… the elevator doors open to a rooftop with magnificent 360-degree views of NYC skylines and Cuban Cantina vibes. With it’s vibrant decor, street art, vintage ads, spray painted art, Azul Rooftop transported me to Little Havana in a heart beat. We all know summer in the city is very special and it’s our obligation to go out and explore something new before it’s too late and too cold. Go out with your group of friends or on a date and experience the live music on Sundays – as band ‘Grupo Irek’ bring ‘son cubano’ to Lower Manhattan. I also tried several cocktails myself and I can assure you that your taste buds will be hooked to at least one of the cocktails from their killer drink selection. Not into hanging around a tight crowd, visit Azul Rooftop on a Monday. They have Rooftop Cinema where you have the opportunity to watch the sunset along reruns of La La Land and more.
Now, another trend that has my name written all over it, this summer, are ruffles. This tiered ruffle maxi dress is one you’ve seen on my social feeds a few times already but I’m finally sharing more details on where you could find it! This design is by Miss Guided but it’s exclusive on ASOS dot com. The moment I saw it I fell in love with the chartreuse color and the fabric. Like many commented on my Instagram account this dress could make us feel like the modern Belle or give you them Beyonce vibes from Lemonade… and I concur. Besides fantasizing on who it makes us look like, this dress provides so much elegance and sass that all you need is to put it on to be convinced you’re wearing ruffles the right way. I recommend you wear breast silicone petals since this dress has a very low cut in the front and the back is also exposed.
Makeup by talented MUA @glowwithjocelyn based in Northern , NJ. Jocelyn knows how to work her magic and perfected a beauty look that went perfectly with what I was wearing. I wanted my lips to pop and so she applied Kylie’s I’m in love with the KOKO liquid lipstick in ‘Doll’ a true bright tangerine. Funny enough, after our makeup session I really felt like a doll and I was ready to slip into this beautiful dress and work the camera. Thank you Jocelyn for giving me that glow!
