Shine on with Metallics

metallic lipstick was my first step into a lustrous world. I then moved on to metallic eye shadow, metallic shoes… the obsession is real. Now you see me sporting a silver metallic puffer coat. Granted every clothing store and designer has been pushing shiny things my way  but I’m okay with it. Ya’ll remember metallics in the 80’s, well its back, in case you didn’t notice. The good thing is we don’t have to wear it with teased hair anymore. 😛 Pewter in metallic tends to stand out too much but the fact that this piece is a casual puffer coat, it helps brings it down a notch and in my opinion it becomes wearable anytime of the day.

Another obsession of mine this winter, knit wear dresses! This grey ribbed ‘overall’ inspired dress is by Cosette and will be released as part of Spring/Summer 2017.  Cosette is a clothing line that was launched in LA by Korean designer Rosa Kim. She lived in Argentina for some time and her line is influenced by the women she was surrounded by in Buenos Aires. Even though most of her pieces embody that tomboy feel, she makes sure to add a feminine detail to all her pieces. That’s when the word Cosette clicks which stands for coquettish femininity.  For instance, this dress we have the slit in the back, the low cut  in the front chest area, and the adjustable straps that contribute to the femininity factor. Since she has an understanding of how Latina women dress, she tries to create a flattering fit to cater to all body sizes.  Learn more of this timeless clothing line based in Los Angeles, California: here.
