It’s been way too long! I felt the need to get back in here and share my most recent discovery! For the most part I rather shop online but some things you just have to show up in person! I was at The Mall at Short Hills which is really just a 30 minute drive from home. And while shopping around, I visited Wacoal’s newest location! Not only to shop bras and underwear but to get fitted! I’ve hesitated to recently, because I haven’t had the best luck in the past! Getting fitted is the easy part, it gets tricky when you start trying bras on. See my problem has usually been, that the bras I try are either too snug on the sides/back and too big in the cup area or viceversa. In other words the bras do not align with the size I was fitted for. It’s not a great feeling when you try on a bra that fits great in the cup area and then it’s too snug on the sides/back creating unnecessary fat rolls even after getting fitted. Forget the rolls! Just simply how uncomfortable it all of a sudden feels. I stepped into Wacoal and I was greeted by an enthusiastic team of women!
Christine immediately walked me to the fitting room to get a bra fitting and she started measuring me. The first bra I tried on is the ‘fit bra’ which helps determine the best bra for your breast shape and wardrobe needs. And I quote “It should basically be tacked in the bottom front area, the wire should go past your bust line, your breast should be completely inside the cup, and it should feel comfortable when you hook it to the middle or last setting in the back band” – Christine (Assistant Manager). After they’ve taken your measurements and you’ve tried the fit bra, you are ready to start trying some bras on!! Ideally they recommend 8 bras to use in a timespan of one year. She brought me so many different styles and colors to try on, all for different purposes. I stressed the fact that I was in need of a few everyday bras but I also wanted a nice push-up that I could wear with a low cut dress. The fitters say an ideal bra drawer would have three of your favorite everyday bra, two sports bra if you work out alot, then some bras for special outfits like a strapless, a convertible, a sexy one… They carry it all… demi, full-coverage, strapless, bralettes, sport bra, push up. They carry bra sizes ranging from 32-44 band and A-I cup. The designs and colors are very very pretty with reasonable prices. At some point I couldn’t make up my mind with all their great options. My shopping experience was great and the team at Short Hills Mall, NJ, went above and beyond to ensure I left the store content. I’ve never had this much fun trying out bras!!
Rule of thumb- leave it to the professionals. Wacoal has been designing exceptional lingerie since 1946. They have nailed it when it comes to creating bras for all women body shapes and sizes.. and they carry bras that align perfectly with the size you fall under. In my opinion, a real shopping experience is when savvy sales people help you make the most educated decision. That’s exactly what you get when visiting Wacoal at Short Hills, NJ. All us women understand what it feels like when getting the wrong bra size… I’d go as far as saying, shopping for bras is like buying something big- like a car, it’s an investment! It’s a necessity that you happen to wear everyday and you must feel comfortable while wearing it. Don’t believe the hype on other brands that are just selling a piece of fabric with hooks and straps, go to Wacoal where you can immediately feel how much time they’ve put into studying their consumers (women of all sizes and body shapes) over the years. You can feel it as soon as you try one of their bras. Overall I felt my visit to their store was a success!! FINALLY a bra that aligns perfectly with my measurements, that fits perfectly in both, the cup area and the sides/back. BONUS: the designs are super cute!
